It's a musical to boot. Next we've got Shantaram. Directed by my beloved Mira Nair, Indian (the Hindu kind) director. She's made such face melting films as: Kama Sutra, Monsoon Wedding, and Vanity Fair. Shantram is about a Austrialian prision escapee harion addict who makes it to India and attempts to relaunch his criminal career. Then lastly we have The Rum Diary. A pre-gonzo style book from Hunter S. Thompson. It's a Hunter-type character, but it's not hunter. I hope people get that stright beofre heading to the theater. In the mean time go rent the libertine if you want to know how Johnny Depp doesn when he's not a pirate go check out "The Libertine". Simply AWESOME.

OH LORDY. I LOVES ME SOME DEATH RACE. Oh? You haven't seen Death Race 2000? You man the non porno debut of a little star known as Sylvester Stallone? OH MY CAPTAIN. Consider this: A film about a annual race where you job is to kill people along the road for points. I didn't know it but I used to play this game with my dad. He'd always say, "that's like Death Race." I didn't get a copy until I was 22. I almost wept at the simple beauty of the film. Oh and they're a nice political B-story for people to. And the remake has Jason Statham. I cannot wait for Sept 26, 2008!

Ok, Valkyrie (which is listed as Rubicon on IMDB for some reason) Had the following things that make me want to see it:
1) People trying to kill Hitler. Anything with Hitler is usually Awesome.
2) Besides having Tome Cruise (who I hated before it was cool to hate him) it has Kenneth Branagh, Eddie Izzard, and Stephen Fry. Whom I all love.
A thrilling tale of attempted Hitler Murder?! And it's got some awesome British Actors?!?! World War II? YAY MOVIES! I'm in. Now I just have to sit back and wait for Vanilla Sky II: Even Creamier.

Well, When Zodiac came out, I was happy, because I have a fixation on the Zodiac killer. Then, I decided to wait because no theaters were playing it. So, I waited for the DVD. The DVD is coming out and now they're telling me the Director's cut isn't until 2008?!?! David Fincher is one of my favorite directors, but damnit, put a move on.

Back from Jesse James Film and Art Festival!
That's right, I'm back and while I didn't get accomplished everything I wanted to, there's always next year. What I did get done was meet some super cool people. The Slow Poisoner put on an awesome show, got his CD, I suggest going to his website or show and checking it out. Also saw a awesome short film called "The Hopewell Haunting". Trust me, it was GOOD. So good, I bought a copy. People seemed to like my funny shorts. Sadly, I knew Miracle Play had lots of making out in it, but it never seemed to be SO MUCH until I watched it. I've decided to edit it down and tighten it up some. Smaller, tighter, better. I didn't get pictures of the bank Jesse James robber or John Carpenter's theater he always visited, but there's always next year. I'm looking forward to the future now. I'm back down to the idea my art is what matters most. I want to make movies. I want to make a few stupid songs in my spare time. Not be a band per se, but everybody loves it when I'm funny. I'm over that I used to be a monkey for some people. I want to take back my rightful place: Making people happy.
